The arm pads on my leather sofa had lost a lot of colour and faded badly. I came across Homeserve on the internet and gave them a call. I spoke to a very friendly representative when I called Homeserve about the leather cracking and peeling on my chair. I was given a wide choice of fabrics and leathers to choose for recovering my leather chair or given the choice of having the leather matched and just the damaged area recovered. They then told me a Furniture Technician would be sent out to re-cover the chair for me. My chair now looks good as new and has saved me a lot of money on a replacement. I bought a new sofa that was delivered in separate pieces. The delivery men started to put it together and things were going well. Until it came to the legs of the sofa. They just wouldn't go on. The retailer then referred me on to Homeserve who called me up and told me they would send out a sofa repair specialist to look at the damaged legs. They came out really quickly too. It turned out the issue was the sofa leg bolts were the all different sizes. Luckily the specialist carried different types too and was able to replace the wrong ones and fit the sofa legs.

I've had my sofa for about 2 years now and always found it really comfortable and never had any issues with it. I sat down on it though one day and heard an odd creaking noise from the left side. It wasn't a one off either, the creaking became a lot more regular. I had no idea why all of a sudden I had creaking leather. I did some looking online and found Homeserve. They sent a service upholsterer out to look at my sofa and see if they could find the source of the creaking leather. Turns out, the issue was actually with a loose joint moving! The upholsterer took the base cloth off and glued the join back in place and now the creaking joint creaks no more!

The seam on my sofa seat started to come loose and eventually burst open. The gap from the burst seam must have been about 3 inches long. I was furious as I'd only had the sofa for a month! I called the store immediately when I noticed it and told them how unhappy I was. They said they'd pass my details on to Homeserve for a sofa repair which I wasn't too happy about but it was better than nothing. I had a nice girl call me up a few hours later and told me they could have someone out to look at it in 3 days. The technician came out and he looked over the burst seam and sewed it back up carefully as well as checking the stitching across the rest of my sofa too.

I always knew having both a leather chair and cat was a bad idea but I still did it and oh boy do I regret it. My cat scratched my leather chair to kingdom come and completely ruined the leather. I jumped onto the web and found Homeserve so decided to give them a call to see what they could do and I decided to have the whole chair re-covered with fabric instead to save me from any more cat scratches. Or at least not as many. It was really cost effective and a quick process. The choice of fabrics was insane. The right hand side of my sofa seemed to sink a lot more compared to the left side of my sofa and was a lot more uncomfortable. I couldn't really see why as the seat pads don't lift up. A friend of mine suggested I tried asking Homeserve who sent out a technician to look into the problem. He looked into it and told me the interiors had collapsed and the springs supporting it had broken. at that moment I assumed I'd have to throw it away and get a new sofa. But the technician actually was able to replace the broken spring with a brand new one as well as adding more support and boosting the seat up for me.
